Game 4 Recap
The Dodgers took an early 4-0 lead in the second inning, driven by a three-run home run from Shohei Ohtani. This was Ohtani's first home run since Aug. 18, and he hit the ball 428 feet. Despite this early advantage, the Brewers rallied to erase the deficit.
In the top of the fourth inning, the Brewers scored two runs. Tyler Glasnow, who had retired his first 10 batters, allowed a walk followed by back-to-back ground-rule doubles. NLCS MVP Jake Bauers hit the second double, scoring two runs to cut the Dodgers' lead to 4-2.
The Brewers tied the game in the fifth inning. Sal Frelick walked and stole second base, then scored on a single by David Hamilton. Manager Dave Roberts brought in Evan Phillips, who issued two walks to load the bases. Left-hander Alex Vesia then walked in the tying run with four straight pitches to Bauers.
