United Airlines Adds Five New Routes
United Airlines is introducing five new nonstop routes across North America. Three of these are international flights to Canada, while two are domestic US routes intended to maintain capacity during construction constraints at Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD).
The new Canadian routes, scheduled to begin in Summer 2027, include:
- Denver (DEN) to Ottawa (YOW)
- Denver (DEN) to Quebec City (YQB)
- Newark (EWR) to St. John's (YYT)
According to Simple Flying, the Denver to Ottawa route re-establishes a connection United operated until 2010, while Denver to Quebec City is a brand-new route. The Newark to St. John's service marks United's return to Newfoundland and Labrador for the first time since 2016.
The two domestic routes, starting in March 2027, are:
- George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) to Joplin Regional Airport (JLN)
- Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) to Lancaster Airport (LNS)
United will use Bombardier CRJ-200 jets for the domestic itineraries. The aircraft for the Canadian destinations have not yet been published.
