Match Summary
The match began as a low-key affair with few sustained attacks from either side. Wrexham’s primary threat came from set-pieces, with striker Kieffer Moore targeting deliveries from Ben Whiteman. In the final minute of the first half, Moore headed a Whiteman cross, but West Brom goalkeeper Max O'Leary made a save, and the ball ricocheted off Isaac Price on the goal-line before O'Leary collected it.
West Brom started the second half with greater intent. Isaac Price volleyed straight at Wrexham goalkeeper Anthony Patterson, and George Campbell clipped the crossbar with a header. Wrexham broke the deadlock when Moore picked up possession 30 yards out and struck the ball into the top corner, leaving O'Leary helpless.
West Brom responded with two goals in five minutes late in the game. With 11 minutes remaining, Jimmy-Jay Morgan’s cross deflected into the path of Isaac Price, who finished to equalize. Five minutes later, Price provided a cross for substitute Aune Heggebo, who scored from eight yards to secure the win.
