Musical Career and Legacy
Taylor Red is a trio of identical sisters from Hurley, Mississippi, known for country music. The group was formerly known as Red Roots. As Red Roots, the sisters performed a blend of country, Southern gospel, and bluegrass. Their recordings included Red Roots, The Middle of Nowhere, and Triplicity.
According to Jubilee Cast, the group's early ministry received recognition in Christian music, including receiving the Favorite New Trio honor at the 2013 Singing News Fan Awards. In January 2014, Daywind reported that five singles from their first two albums had reached the Singing News Top 40. The sisters also appeared on The American Bible Challenge and have opened for artists such as Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith.
Nicole Taylor was the oldest of the three sisters, being one minute older than Natalie and two minutes older than Nika. Her musical contributions included playing the drums, banjo, and guitar. She also served as a co-host for a radio show with Taste of Country.
